Federal government’s Department of Justice sent agents from Fish and Wildlife to raid the Gibson guitar factories in Nashville and Memphis, Tennessee on Wednesday, August 24. Gibson’s CEO, Henry Juszkiewicz, stated that one of the DOJ agents told him \”all of this would just go away if you would export your labor to Madagascar\”.
Has our government not already forced enough of our businesses overseas, without blatantly coming out and telling the CEO all of his troubles would be over if he would just move his business to India? I’ve seen countless speeches by President Obama, himself, stating that it’s time to bring the jobs back from the foreign countries where they have moved so that we can get all these millions of Americans that are suffering through unemployment back to work. But yet here is an employee of the federal government telling a business man to move his business overseas.
The reason the feds gave for raiding the factory is because of the suspicion that Gibson is using Madagascar ebony, a protected tree, for the face of their guitars. DoJ agents confiscated what they consider to be the illegal wood and other wood from protected trees. Mr. Juszkiewicz stated the wood is not illegal. It seems the wood would have been ‘legal’ if it had been sanded down and stained in the Indian country where it was originally cut. It doesn’t matter that the wood passed the government’s own standards test in order to be shipped over here to begin with. I guess somebody just forgot to mention that tiny bit of information with the person that was receiving their instructions for the raids.
As the article states, the laws used to confiscate these wood products from the Gibson factories is not one of our Federal laws at all, but supposedly a law on the books in the country of India! This is just more proof that the Obama administration is using International law on the citizens of the United States.
How much longer are we, the citizens of this country going to allow this administration to get away with governing this nation with rulings and legislation passed off as laws here in the US, when in fact it is a law from another country?
With the Florida judge issuing the ruling in the court case that came before his bench to be heard between two Muslims, “let their Imam decide which one is right and which on is wrong in this case”, our justice system is absolutely off course and getting further off course every day. This case should have been handled no differently in this American courtroom and in front of this American judge than any other case that came before him. American judges have to make two decisions: is this a state case or a federal case. No where in the United States Constitution nor in any State Constitution does it state a judge may allow a Muslim Imam to grant judgement in a case being tried on American soil.
And the Department of Justice has NO business raiding and shutting down an American based and operated business on the basis of what a law on the law books in the nation of India states, whether the law is actually a law in that country or not!
I hope whoever ordered this raid is prosecuted as fully as those that are going down for this “Fast and Furious” Gun scandal will be. All of this corruption has got to stop sooner rather than later. With everything I’ve read about what a corrupt administration President Richard Nixon had, this present administration, under the leadership of Barack Hussein Obama, is a thousand times worse!
What I don’t understand is WHY are they being allowed to get away with it? The citizens of this country that have tried such corrupt dealings have been arrested and jailed….one example is Enron. And there are thousands of people in jail accused and convicted of the same corruption that Obama and his people are pulling off every day of the week.
It is past time for our elected representatives in the House of Representatives and the Senate to find their spines and stand up against all of this corruption! I propose, by golly, if they won’t do it, then it’s going to be up to us, the citizens of this country to do whatever we can, legally, to get this stopped. Maybe it’s time we citizens see what our legal rights are regarding a time when our elected officials are ALL conspirators against us!
I’ve seen article after article and comment after comment on thousands of posts saying “just wait until 2012 and we can vote them all out”. Well that is fine we can vote them all out, BUT what are the companies like Gibson, and I’m sure there are going to be others, and the employees of those companies going to do to provide for their families while they are waiting until 2012 when the next Presidential election rolls around? I think it should be considered treason what Obama and his administration are doing to this nation and it’s citizens. It seems like no one in our government even remembers what the word treason means any more.
